Storytime ("the app") creates personalized children's stories with narrated audio. This policy explains what data is processed and why.
The app has no user accounts, no advertising, and no third-party analytics. A random, anonymous identifier is generated on your device and used solely to keep track of your story credits. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
The text you enter when creating a story (for example a child's name, story ideas, family members) is sent to our server and passed to AI service providers — Anthropic (story text) and OpenAI (narration audio) — solely to generate your story. It is not used for advertising and is never sold. Please only enter information you are comfortable including in a story. Generated stories and audio are stored locally on your device.
Story credits are purchased through Apple. We never see your payment details; our server receives only an anonymous purchase confirmation from Apple to add credits to your balance.
Our server stores only your anonymous credit balance and purchase records. To have this data deleted, contact us at christopherbennett92@gmail.com.
Storytime is designed to be used by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
